Here are some questions that some successful students have asked before beginning the Living Lite Weight Loss Program:
- What is hypnosis and how does it work?
Hypnosis is simply relaxation of your brain. You can’t feel your brain relax; it happens automatically when your body relaxes. When your brain relaxes, your brain activity slows down into what is known as the “alpha” brain wave state. In that state, you are more likely to accept a suggestion if that suggestion fits one or more of three conditions:
- Is the suggestion something you want to do?
- Is it something that is for your own best good?
- Is it something that you have no major objection to?
Since losing weight probably fits all the above conditions, you will accept the suggestion and your brain will act on it.
- How long does it take to start losing weight?
As soon as you begin listening to your hypnosis recordings, your brain will begin to change its mind about what and how much you eat. Using the tools you will receive, you should notice some weight loss within the first 2-3 days. It is pretty fast as well as amazingly simple.
- You say you can make certain foods “disappear.” What does that mean?
Here at Living Lite, we do NOT believe in deprivation. If you “can’t” have something, it will hang around your brain waiting for a weak moment and then it will pounce on you. However, if your mind changes and you decide that you don’t want that food, it disappears. We will teach your brain not to want unhealthy, fattening foods—for about 2 weeks. You won’t even think about the foods you may have been addicted to. Then one day, you will remember that food and might even decide to sample it. What you will find is that it is not as good as it used to be and you will make the decision to avoid it or eat it in moderation. And that is an immensely powerful position to be in.
- I cook for my family and they will not eat healthy food.
This seems like a big quagmire for many women but there are several options around it. You could:
- Include a salad in your meal and add some of what they are eating to it for you.
- Add veggies or soup so, again, you have healthier options and/or
- Have what they are having, just smaller portions. In the Living Lite program, we will share a secret that will help you eat 20-40% fewer calories at dinner, without even noticing!
- Can you hypnotize me “backwards” so not only will I want to avoid unhealthy food, but also find healthy food appealing?
I love this question! The answer is quite simple: When you successfully eliminate the toxic, unhealthy foods in your diet, all that is left are healthier foods.
Also—and this is a big deal—when you begin to eat healthier, the bacteria in your gut begins to change. I remember when I was 50 pounds heavier, eating an apple wasn’t satisfying. Now they fill me up and satisfies my sweet tooth.
- Do you sell prepared meals?
No. There are 2 reasons we don’t:
- You don’t need prepared meals to lose weight. You will eat less and healthier as a result of being more in touch with your body.
- The business model of companies that sell food is for you to regain the weight you may lose so they can sell you more food. The model for Living Lite is to support you in healthy, natural weight loss so you will be an example of how well it works and your results will inspire others in your life to use hypnosis to lose weight as well.
- Why haven’t I been able to keep weight off previously?
There are reasons you are overweight or eat too much. Your subconscious mind thinks they are good reasons and if you do not understand that you will not be able to keep the weight off.
I remember a client I had many years ago. During hypnosis, she remembered being in her crib at about 2 years old. Her older sister was also in the bedroom. Both were crying and my client reported being freezing as her diaper was soaked and she was starving. Turns out her parents had parties every weekend and wouldn’t care for their children for days at a time– that’s how my client remembered it. Here is what is important for you to understand: It does not matter if that is the truth of what happened or not. It is what you BELIEVE to be true that will impact your weight and your life. My client’s belief was that she never wanted to be that hungry, so she overate to prevent hunger. When she realized that she was an adult and could regulate her own eating habits, she stopped living with that fear and began losing weight much more easily. Now, you may say that you already do realize that you are an adult, but most of our habits are formed early in life and if you don’t reassess them periodically, there is a good chance you are still operating on these old perceptions. Hypnosis will help you heal childhood wounds which we all have.
- How fast will I lose weight?
With Living Lite, you will lose about 1% of your body weight a week. You will hit plateaus. Our bodies—and our minds–need plateaus. Even your heart beats differently with each 10 pounds you lose. These plateaus are great learning tools. They will help you stop focusing on your weight and instead pay more attention to just living healthier.
